Native Plant Industry at the 2017 Florida Wildflower Symposium

There’s a rising demand for native wildflowers. Workshops on native plant propagation and establishing a bed of native wildflowers from seed are already SOLD OUT at this year’s Florida Wildflower Symposium, Sept 22-23, 2017 at UF/IFAS Orange County Extension in Orlando.

Hosted annually by our conservation partner, the Florida Wildflower Foundation, the Symposium provides a variety of programs, workshops, social opportunities and plant sale for native wildflower enthusiasts. Among symposium sponsors are the Native Plant Horticulture Foundation and FANN members Green Isle Gardens Nursery, Sweet Bay Nursery and The Natives. FANN will be exhibiting and distributing our publications along with the Native Plant Horticulture Foundation.

The Native Plant Horticulture Foundation is also providing education & travel grants for students age 16+ to participate.
