Welcome new 2016 FANN members

Please join us in welcoming new FANN members:
Bay Mulch Organics Recycling Division based in Plant City, providing USDA-certified organic compost and custom-blended nutrient-rich soils. Company representative Eve Spengler is very pro native plant and eager to find ways to support our cause.
Dottie Hanna, who is in the exploratory stage of growing native plants. Dottie has a degree in horticulture from Valencia Community College and currently working for Deroose Plants. She and her husband Kevin joined us for the GrowNative Workshop at Green Seasons Nursery January 8.
Butterfly Flowers, retail native plants at the Vero Beach Farmer’s Market and landscape install services, Anna & Tim were inspired by longtime FANN member Maple Street Natives Nursery
J & R Nursery, much admired & highly recommended wholesale grower (Greg Shiver) in Dover, whose (ornamental) plants are said to be beautifully tended, pushing that aesthetic bar up for us
Lake and Wetland Management, with their exciting new franchise model for pond management all over the state
Lindley’s Nursery, traditional garden center in Volusia County, looking forward to seeing some more native plants on the shelf there
Natives of Corkscrew Nursery in Lee County, restoration & more, very busy with new baby Charlotte Abigail
PlantANT, Darryl Tackoor and his innovative techies disrupting the plant industry in a very good way
Sanford’s Landscape & Irrigation in Jacksonville, owner Robert Sanford is treasurer NE-FNGLA and a bit of a naturalist
TENUSA, Nicolas Bofill bringing butterflies & more to Miami-Dade and demanding that we bring the native plant education south (we will!).

The scary thing with any such list is … who have we missed!? FANN is once again pushing through another tech transition and, alas, our data is in at least three places (in addition to Cammie’s head, never a good thing), so we hope we haven’t overlooked mentioning YOUR company’s name. We do appreciate all FANN members and member wanna-be’s, even if we have trouble keeping up with you. Two steps forward, one step back.
