Economic impact of native plant horticulture increases in Florida

Per the latest report by University of Florida-IFAS economists, native plants represent about 15.5% of nursery sales, an increase from the last figure of 11% in 2005. The use of Florida-friendly plants, which naturally includes native plants, is on the increase overall. Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA) sponsors this Florida environmental horticulture economic survey every 5-10 years.
